Leader: Premier Cherdenko rules over the Soviet galactic union but General Krukov is over seeing the conquest of Nu earth

Homeworld: Although the exiles who founded the soviet union were from earth Petrograd is considered the cradle of the soviet union
Technology: The soviets aren't very advanced in comparison with enemies like the enclave or even the helghast,the soviets employ simple tactics and slowly overwhelm their foes in grinding wars of attrition,for no other force in the galaxy can match the soviets sheer amount of man-power.However sheer weight of numbers is not their only advantage,the soviets feild reliable and destructive battle tanks which can take a pounding and deal out alot of damage in return,in addition they have some technology unavailable to any other factions either because other factions lack the massive work force required to produce such tech or just rather avoid it through common sense.The soviets real strength is their ability to mass produce simple and reliable technology and innovating off existing designs.
Culture: although the soviet galactic union is based on ideals of equality and comradeship it is a totalitarian regime whose scheming leaders leaders constantly push a self-righteous agenda focused on achiveving a galactic communistic state.
Mission: The soviets are eager to turn Nu earths populace into another patriotic war-like work force and impose conscription upon them when more soldiers are needed to take over another distant planet
Ships: A soviet armarda of Dreadnoughts Kirov class crusiers and sputnik vessels hang ominously in Nu earths orbit and construction on a space station continues
Military stationed on Nu Earth: The Soviets don't know the meaning of the word "Subtlety" and with the same heavy handed approach they apply to any and every situation have brought a massive force consisting of millions of men and thousands of tanks with them with the intention of conquering the planet in one fell swoop.

History: After the communist exiles left earth and established a new civilization on Petrograd and slowly developed into a star faring race similar to the humans left on earth but rather than exploration the Soviets sought unite all human civilizations under the red flag of communism,those who refused where aggressively brought into the fold regardless.The soviets are determined to take Nu earth even if it means reducing the planet to a blasted wasteland in the process.
