"I was just curious, I don't mean any intentional harm... But hey, I don't think your men need their guns aimed at him, hes harmless..." Dawn lowered her P90, and grinned at the lone man once again. He didn't look like someone who would cause trouble, nor would he need an eye kept on him. He looked to be writing something in his notebook, amazed at the atmosphere around them. He was a traveler, Dawn could tell by his eyes and the gear he carried. Definitely not anyone a soldier would have to worry about.
~~~
Back at the ship, Red and Gold were busy gathering satellite images from the planet, seeing all of its features, calculating its density ratio, and the geographical traits. It would best be describes as the second earth, everything seemed so very similar. There was a south and a north polar levels, and the sun itself seemed to at a similar distance away. It was however, a bit closer, meaning the planet would have more warmer areas, and relatively no snow in majority of the areas accept places farthest away.
~~~
Dawn glanced back to where Blue and Silver were hidden, they would only come out on her que, or if something went horribly wrong. Between the solders, the lone man, and herself, there was an awkward silence gap. But suddenly, a loud noise came from the tree line in the clearing, and Dawn sprung into action. As another one of those creatures emerged, Dawn jumped onto the shoulders of one of the men, and then launched herself into the air, pulling out her sword and slashing the beast that charged mercilessly with speed and ease.
In the same moment the other soldiers turned to face the oncoming creatures, Dawns group rushed from the tree line to back up their commander. "We got your back!" As everyone took battle positions, Dawn looked back over her shoulder toward the solders, and spoke out in a stern voice. "Save me the lecture, lets show these creatures who's boss! You boys ready?"

The soldiers grouped around the woman eased up as she lowered her weapon. All the men around the lone woman held their weapons in check, aimed at her chest. Cpl. Anderson turned his head back to the men assaulting the man. They reached to grab the man, and as the first soldier's hand reached for him, the soldier in the trees at their back yelled. Hearing it, both men swiveled and dashed into the darkness to help their friend. At about the same time, the woman burst into action. The 3 man group of soldiers got into a very underpowered defensive circle, while the men across the clearing fired their weapons wildly. Static erupted from everyone's headsets except the engineer, who was missing his helmet. "Sir! We got contacts! It's those damn little buggers over hear, they got Jeremy and they keep charging us. What do we do?!" Anderson fired his rifle at the nearest monster and keyed the mic, "Try and get back to the clearing, we're regrouping there." His sweat stung his eyes, but he didn't dare blink it away. "Back to the clearing, don't get jumped from behind. Hey lady! If you can hear me, we're going back to the clearing!"

At that time, Dawn kept her mouth shut. When nothing needs to be said, its better to say nothing at all. Once the soldiers had all began moving into travel formation, Dawn drew her attention back to the treeline, then grabbed the device on her side and began pushing buttons with lightning speed. [r e t u r n t o t h e s h i p. i w i l l c o n t a c t y o u l a t e r.] Within seconds, Blue and Silver had nodded, and then made their was back to the ship. They didnt like the idea of leaving Dawn by herself with the soldiers, but she knew what she was doing. This was what made her the captain of the Brigade in the first place. Dawn holstered her P90 onto her side, and then turned to look at the men dissapear onto a trail which he hadnt explored yet. They were moving very quickly, something was wrong. Dawn could just leave them here to die if things got ugly, so she decided to follow them. It would even lead her to find more answers about Nu Earth, and why satalite signals were being blocked in the first place. She hasnt been to Nu Earth until now, only heard stories about it. After realizing that the soldiers were now long gone, Dawn flexed her fist, and a blue glow illuminated around. She darted forward leaping into tall trees, seeing if she could keep closer watch on the solders while following.

The group of three men charged through the forest trying to get to the clearing and meet up with their missing companions. Anderson fired his rifle into the forest hoping to score a hit on the darting shadows. He grunted as his rifle jammed and slung it over his shoulder and grasped his sidearm in one fluid motion. He tried the missing soldiers again. Recieving no immediate response, he fired a single round whenever he had a clear shot at the monsters chasing them. A lurker reared up in front of the lead trooper who promptly fired his weapon in a wide arc that failed to hit the beast where it would damage it severely. A bladed foreleg came down and slashed the unfortunate private across the chest, releasing a loud hiss as his suit's seals were torn asunder. The engineer following close behind stumbled backwards and slammed into Anderson, who was sprinting, and blasted the breath from hiss lungs. Both men fired dazedly at the beast hoping they'd score a hit before it killed them.

Dawn bolted from tree branch to tree branch, it was so thickly lined that she could practically run across with enough balance. But hearing a few more gunshots ring off into the distance, she zeroed in on where they were going from, and flipped back onto the ground. Running as fast as she could, Dawn held her hands over he sword, readying for an attack if anything stood in her way.
There was the sound of death not much further up ahead, this alerted her attention to slow down place and keep a cautious watch over her surroundings. In a matter of minutes, she could see two of the remaining men from the group firing upon what looked to be an even bigger hostile then what they fought before. As she closed in, the monster leaped on top of the right hand soldier, pinning him down and raising a large claw to finish him off. To counter this, Dawn dove forward off of a nearby tree, spinning toward the beast and slashing it off of the solder. Now holding her position, and getting ready for another strike, she yelled toward the pair. "Dont be reckless, lets do this!"

Both troops got up pretty dazed and confused about what happened, but they both figured that the woman helped them. Cpl. Anderson took the dead soldier's helmet and tossed it to the remaining soldier with his off hand. "I don't know who you are lady, but we need to rally at the clearing with my remaining men. We'll follow you and your fancy blade, but don't think we wouldn't survive on our own!" The soldiers kneeled down and reloaded their weapons and prepared to follow the woman to the clearing, not trusting her but not willing to make her an enemy.

As much as she didnt like to be leading this unknown factions men, Dawn grinned, then ran off in the direction of the rally point. The other kept up with her while she wasnt using her AMP, but felt they were going at a slow rate of speed at this point. Another group of unknown creatures landing in front of them, as Dawn flipped backwards to dodge their attack. She countered with one of her own slashing combos before jumping to the side so she could let the soldiers fire at will.
The bullets were doing a good job at keeping the creatures stagger rate up, and Dawn found herself soon adding in some more attacks once the men needed a reload. As one of the creatures fallen ins seconds, Dawn rushing in, and launched the remaining staggered foe into the air. Jumping up to a level height, she spun around, slicing it in two halves before landing on the ground. "Lets move! I need you to show me where it is!"

The men fired into the beasts as the woman dodged in and out of their lines of sight. "The clearing is about one hundred feet away lady, we'll lead to it!" Before she could respond, they sprinted off to the clearing, their guns blasting anything that stood in their way. "We're coming into the clearing boys, don't be blowing us apart."
The burst into the clearing, revealing themselves to two figures with their weapons aimed their way. "Corporal, we were afraid we were on our own. Jeremy is down and the relay area is set up, we just need the engineer to wrap it all together and set up comm with the main unit." Cpl. Anderson looked towards the pile of equipment near the men. The engineer quickly shouldered his shotgun and ran off to tinker with the roughed up equipment.

Dawn holstered his sword, and followed after the soldiers. She kept a moderate pace, until they reached the clearing, where the relay was set up. With everything in place now, all they needed was the engineer to finish the work, and theyd be able to get it running. For the time being, she kept herself away from the others, minding her own and keeping to herself.
There was a loud roar coming from deeper inside the woods, as Dawn turned to face the direction she thought it was coming from. It would probably be a matter of time before it found them, and the engineer wouldnt be able to work while fighting the monster, so she had a plan. "Im going in to investigate. If you would like to follow, you better keep up." Dawn bolted forward into the treeline, using her AMP to jump high into the branches, using the tops of the trees as cover while she approached the location of the large beast they had heard.

Anderson lifted his head up from the work the engineer was doing at the sound of the beast. He put both of his hands on his rifle and watched as the woman darted into the forest and said something about following if they wanted. "You two guard the enginner and radio for extraction or a medivac, we need to get back to the main force." He shook his head, "I'm gonna follow that wman and see if I can get some answers." He waved away their protests and sprinted off into the forest hoping to catch up with the woman before she left him too far behind. Branches hit him from all sides and he started getting aggravated. "Twelve damn years flying space and they stick me on the ground. B*stards."
